Code of Conduct

Our Promise

The organizers are committed to making participation in our event an experience where all participants are respected, regardless of age, body weight, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, physical appearance, race, religion, identity or sexual orientation, with the aim of making dotNET2022 an open and welcoming conference.

Our Standards

Examples of behaviour which contribute to creating a positive environment:

  • Use of friendly and inclusive language
  • Respect for different points of view and experiences
  • Acceptance of constructive criticism
  • Focus on what is best for the community and the event
  • Show empathy to other members who participate in the event

Examples of unacceptable behaviour by participants and speakers:

  • Use of sexual language or images and unwanted sexual attention
  • Insulting or derogatory comments (trolling) and personal or political attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publication of private third-party information without their consent, such as physical or electronic addresses
  • Other types of behaviour that could be considered inappropriate in a professional setting
  • In the case of being a speaker, a criticism with bad intention, contempt or aggression to another professional or speaker

Our responsibilities

The organizers are responsible for clarifying standards of acceptable behaviour and are expected to take corrective and appropriate action in response to situations of unacceptable behaviour. The organizers have the right and responsibility to temporarily or permanently prohibit access to this edition or future editions of the event, to any person whose behaviour is inappropriate, threatening, offensive or harmful and even report such behaviour to the appropriate authorities.

Scope

This code of conduct applies both to the space where the event is held and in public spaces where an individual shares a place with other people who participate in the event.

Application

Examples of abuse, harassment or other unacceptable behaviours can be reported directly to the organization. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated, generating a result appropriate to the circumstances. The team that is part of the organization is obliged to maintain the confidentiality of the person who reported the incident.
